Principal's Message

Welcome Wildcats!

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! We have accomplished many wonderful things together the last two years. I invite you to visit our beautiful campus, with a newly renovated front administration building and artistic murals that represent the Wildcat pride we have for Wilson Elementary.

Our teachers and staff are committed to providing a high quality, rigorous, and relevant education that will allow our students to be contributing members to their community and our global society. The students have had one year to learn our new curriculum in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Our teachers have worked diligently to provide meaningful learning for your child(ren). We have also worked to provide extended after school learning opportunities in the area of STEM.

Research identifies the correlation between a strong school and home partnership. I encourage you to participate in opportunities to build connections with the school by attending our Friday Wildcat Rallies, joining our PTA, ELAC, and attending fundraising and other events throughout the year. When we embrace a strong foundation of a home-school connection, we support out students in striving for greatness!

At Wilson we embrace a school wide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) program that supports the statement,

“A Wildcat ROARS!”

ROARS stands for:

These attributes, paired with academics are fundamental in helping our students acquire their full potential. We strive to create a school environment that fosters the academic and emotional development of our students.

I encourage you to come say hello or stop by if you have a question! Most mornings and afternoons you can find me on campus. You are also more than welcome to schedule an appointment with me in the front office. Please know that I look forward to working in partnership with you to support your child.
